How do I have my baby baptized?

In order to have your baby baptized at St. Stephens Parish, you must be a registered parishioner of have a letter of permission from the Church in which you are registered. You will be required to sign up for and attend a Baptismal Preparation class (held the second Saturday of the month at 9 AM.). If you have attended a class within the last two years, you will not have to attend one again.

You may schedule your baby's Baptism for any time after the meeting. Baptisms take place on the second and fourth Sunday during the 9 AM and 12 PM masses.

What are the requirements for getting married?

In order to be married at St. Stephens Catholic Church, you (or your family) should be a registered parishioner. Please contact the parish office at least six months prior to the date you are requesting for your wedding. At that time, a questionnaire will be completed and then the prenuptial process will begin. A couple is required to meet with a priest two three times and attend a Pre-Cana retreat. All requirements will be discussed at the first meeting.

 

 

 

How do I get into the (OCIA) formerly RCIA program?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults) program is a process of education that hopes to answer questions, teach basic doctrine and welcome people into the St. Stephen parish community. To register for this program, please contact Fr. Jim Fee, OMI, or Mr. Luis Ochoa at (618) 397-0666.

 

 

 

How do I go about having a priest come and visit my sick family member?

In order to have a priest come to your home or the hospital, call Fr. Harold Fisher at

(618) 979-5426. The St. Stephens Ministers of Care are also happy to bring Communion to any sick or homebound family members on a regular basis.

 

 

 

How do I register with St. Stephen's Parish Community?

Please stop by the parish office to pick up a registration form, fill it out and wait to receive a packet from us in the mail.
